What a great summer everyone has had after many many months social distancing! Ocean City was finally back to “normal”. Even though the crowds have thinned out since Labor Day, what most locals know and a lot of repeat Ocean City visitors know is this is our favorite time of the year!
The kids are back in school, traffic is light and the exhausted business owners and employees are ready to blow off some steam and party. The lucky fall visitors will be amazed with all the fun stuff still planned for what we all call the Second Season.
One of the best perks of the second season is through the weekdays some businesses will begin drink & food specials not offered during the summer. Extended happy hours and dinner specials too! Also after September 30th you can bring your pets to the boardwalk and beach, but leashes are required.
It is also a great time of year to go searching for your own condo or home as summer is a hard time to view homes since the majority are rented out and can only be viewed on rental turnover days usually for only a 3- 4 hour window.
Not only is the weather still warm enough for beachgoers and boaters, Ocean City and surrounding towns still have lots of events in store all the way through the end of the year.
Some of the big events are Bike Week, Sunfest, Beerfest and many more right up to the amazing Winterfest of Lights display at Northside Park in Ocean City. Historic Berlin just 7 miles West of Ocean City also offer fun events one of the most popular being the Fiddler’s Convention.
So if you wanted to visit Ocean City but summer passed you by, do not worry! The best season, the locals favorite, the Second Season will still wow you!
